Antibody Engineering

Antibody engineering drives much of biopharma innovation with bispecifics, ADCs and Fc-engineered platforms expanding rapidly. The session covers bispecific antibodies (teclistamab, talquetamab, elranatamab in myeloma; tarlatamab in SCLC), tri-specific and TriTAC platforms, Fc engineering (YTE, LS) for half-life extension and effector function modulation, masked and conditionally-activated antibodies (probody platforms), and manufacturing complexity. Discussion addresses nanobodies and VHH platforms, the comparison of bispecific vs CAR-T in hematologic cancers, ADC platform integration, the regulatory pathway for novel formats, and emerging tetra-specific antibody designs.
